Server Offline Today 07 May 2010

Sorry the server was offline for a short while today. Upgraded the hardware to a Dell 1850, dual Xeon 3Ghz with 6Gb Ram.

Hopefully, it will be a bit faster. The OS drives are a pair of 10K atlas Ultra320 drives. But, I am using USB attached 7200 Sata drives for the vmware image running the website. So, that is a bit of a bottle neck.

I plan to add a PCI eSata card and off load the disks via this method, which should move the disk transfer rate from 25MB to around 60MB. Should help also.
