Re: Post Issues / Tweaks for the new site here!

Access even from my slow-speed dial-up is just fine. It works.
And it boosted interest in the site.
John & Perry deserve a nice vacation. (don't forget to feed the sever gerbils ;) )

Re: Server Outage!

John, thank you. We all commiserate, ...reacting to those fateful words: The computer is down. knowing that everyone, even your fellow techies, ...especially your fellow techies, are trying to help troubleshoot, ...drumming their fingers, Did he forgot to feed the server gerbils ? . So, I notice the...

Re: Removal of the Politics Forum

I'd like to see it brought back too.

I would recommend we call it something like "CIVICS" rather than the contentions "politics".

Rules: Civility (BE NICE). Respect for differing views. Discourage the use of ad hominems (personal attacks, "You" messages).

Re: Removal of the Politics Forum

Sounds excellent. So, would you like to be Sheriff of the politics forum?

I think Frank would be a good choice too. But I suspect he is still in recovery from the last time. There are the places that even the Kevlar won't protect. ;)

Re: Removal of the Politics Forum

This is an election year (Nov 2).
Oklahoma will be electing a new Governor, US Senators and State Representatives
Primaries are coming up on July 27th.

As a Veteran I'd especially like to talk about which crook we are electing.
This is going to be hard.

Re: Removal of the Politics Forum

I'm sorry to see the politics forum go. We fought to preserve these important freedoms, especially speech. ...to disagree about really sensitive issues. And, we DS's were/are forrunners in the use of information/communication "systems". But I do have to respect the goals of those who maintain this w...

I just realized that stupid responses to Front Page News items cannot edited or deleted.
What happened to the Un-Stupid button?

Oh, yeah.
Does that mean that I might be placed in shackles and punished by Rusty?
Oh no, not the whip. Please, ....anything but the whip.

Re: Got a forum topic thats not for you?

(addition) Sounds like a lot of work for you. Some may not like politics now, but may change their mind if the Hockey Mom runs in 2010. It would help if the topics labels could be highlighted and/or made a different color or the thread just not show up at all. I would highlight the Jokes section. Co...

I also can't edit my posts to the site admin forum to say "Thanks, Jay R"
And my snazzy tagline isn't there.

Thanks,

Jay R.

Re: Photo Gallery Back Online!

Could this (Jpeg) thumbnail conversion also be the problem with the lack of color in the Chicago & Horne patch in the Photo Gallery Duty Station Insignia http://www.datasystemstech.com/gallery/album.php?id=10 Should it work better if I uploaded them again? If I do upload it again, can I delete the o...
